"After moving into our new home all we wanted to do was to sit back and relax while watching some TV. Unfortunately our TV antenna wasn't working and we couldn't get any of the normal free to air aerial channels. We called a few companies but no one would even pick up the phone or it was a call centre. We wanted to speak to a TV antenna expert now not tomorrow! Thankfully Dan from TV Magic answered his phone straight away and was enthusiastic. We're so glad we picked TV Magic because they did a great job. They installed a new digital TV antenna amongst other things and tuned in all our tellies. We very much appreciated the quick and professional response. I highly recommend TV Magic in Hope Island for fixing any TV reception issue you have with your antenna / aerial" Cassandra of Hope Island, Gold Coast.

Hi Dan from TV Magic here. I've been helping out homes in Hope Island for years now fixing up their TV reception problems and installing new digital antennas for them. Whether you have a brand new home requiring a new TV antenna and fit off or you have an existing home that's in a mess of old wiring and has broken down antenna I can fix it for you quickly and professionally.

Sometimes we find the only thing stopping your TV's from working is that you've moved from another city and all you have to do is retune your TV. Other times we have to upgrade the whole antenna system for your home is it's too old to work on effectively. Quite often our customers have trouble with aerial boosters not working cause all the TV outlets to fail on their Hope Island Gold Coast home.

The thing with TV reception unless you fix tv aerial issues daily like us you don't know where to even start because you won't have the specialised equipment required to measure and test the antenna signal because it costs thousands.

The other main concern of trying to repair TV reception is that nearly always you have to go on top of your roof and inside the ceiling. These places are dangerous and a lot of DIYer's seriously hurt themselves through their inexperience. I definitely do not recommend venturing onto your roof or ceiling unless it's something you do very frequently.

A real-life example from today, 2nd November 2017 follows:

Ms Eulalia lives in Hope Island Gold Coast and was referred to us by a friend after a storm because her TV reception stopped working. What we found when we arrived is that her antenna system was old in general and had many weak spots, including a booster that was no longer water proof. We all agreed the best solution was to upgrade the antenna system on her home in its entirety. This meant we replaced her aerial with a new digital antenna; changed her booster / masthead amplifier; replaced some old coax cabling and her splitters, wall plates, connectors etc. We're confident Ms Eulalia will have terrific TV reception now for many years to come. Having TV reception problems? Pixelation? One channel dropping out or freezing?

Why does that happen? How is digital Tv different to analogue? Why do you only get problems on one TV point or only on one TV channel?

The following videos give you some answer to all of the above. These are very commonly asked questions. Basically, any problems you are experiencing will not fix themselves. They may come 'good again' however, this will be temporary. By Calling TV Magic we can ascertain by using our 'field strength meter' just how good or how bad your TV channels really are. When we test, we are looking to see if any channel is reaching minimum signal requirements. This will make sure there is enough 'head room' for fluctuation for bad weather, trees, a few broken elements and other factors that effect signal strength and signal quality. If these minimal requirements are not met, yes you may still have a 'perfect clear picture' however the BIG QUESTION is; for how long for? Yes your bald tyre does keep air in it and drives your car around, but obviously it's not going to take a nail or a bit of glass on the road as well as a brand new tyre.
