What I saw...

I went out for a free quote because most of the time when they have their own antenna it's a cheap nasty one, not as good as ours or just ends up costing the customer more than if we supply and install our antenna anyway. So anyway, I got there and it looked fairly straight forward but I wasn't sure on this multi-level wall that was in-between an extension and yeah, honestly looked like a DIY construction of some kind - that I could get the coaxial cable down the wall cavity for one of the new tv points. So I had to pull out the steps and poke my head up in the loft, crawl over there to look down to see how easy or hard it was going to be. Anyway, I found an alternate route, wrote up a quote (which really wasn't for that much for what he wanted done)and gave it to the customer. The customer gasped in seemingly shock, "THAT MUCH AY!?". I said "yeah mate, to do a good job, it is going to take me 3-4 hours for what you're wanting". He then insisted that I sell him all the bits and coaxial cable and that he will do the job himself. I said "that's fine" (because I've given him a really fair price, and wasn't looking forward to one of the tv points anyway). "Enjoy getting the cable down one of the walls", I said. I then told him, that from experience one of the points is going to be a night-mare and gave him some ideas on how to tackle it. I was then about to pack up and leave and I remembered what I saw - "Oh yeah, enjoy the rats too! I seen my first actual, dead one! It surprised me right next to the man-hole cover". Now I was thinking that for a bloke who was prepared to go crawling around the ceiling, wouldn't shy away from much so I said enjoy the the rats, but he surprised me and said #%@ that! You can do the job! lol "Is there really a dead one there?", he asked. I said, "yep!, I'll take a photo if you like? Maybe I just don't notice but I've never actually seen a dead one in a roof before either". And so I got this snap and the customer was glad that I done the job in the end and after getting to know him (there was no-way he could have done the job himself, let alone as quick or as good). So here's what I saw....
