Pixilating TV Channels? Got "No TV Signal"? "Check your local antenna connection"?

It's likely you have a TV antenna, Tv aerial signal problem.

Call Dan 0488 899 849 Your local Labrador and surrounding areas Gold Coast TV expert.

"Justine in Labrador Gold Coast called the TV Magic antenna technicians out to have a look at why here TV reception was not working. What we found when we arrived was her home was about 30 years old and still had the original TV Antenna system installed. We agreed that fixing the old aerial was not a good idea and Justine gave us the go ahead to install a new TV antenna system for her home to fix her bad TV reception."

5 Possible causes of Weak or No Signal

  1. Faulty antenna cable! It's not uncommon for us to discover the cable that goes from the wall socket to your TV is actually faulty and the signal is at your wall socket is just fine.
  2. Non-functioning masthead amplifier / booster! Many homes on the Gold Coast in Labrador are fitted with a TV signal booster and when that stops working all the TV sockets in the home stop getting their antenna signal. Sometimes the aerial amplifier is faulty from age deterioration and sometimes it's just not getting the power it needs to function.
  3. Old Antenna system. Overtime each component of your TV antenna installation degrades and starts to lose a little bit more signal at each step along the way from your TV aerial through to your tv sockets which typically results in a progressively worse "weak or no signal".
  4. There's no antenna installed on your roof. Seems obvious doesn't it? However, we do come across it. When a home is built the builders leave it up to the owners to privately organise the antenna installation on their home in Labrador Gold Coast and sometimes they don't for whatever reason and when new owners or tenants take over they're left with TV reception problems as you can imagine.
  5. Incorrectly plugged in TV equipment. We can often find the cause of a Labrador Gold Coast's homes TV reception problem to be the fact the tenant has simply plugged their TV into the wrong socket on the wall or their TV. Sometimes a professional like TV Magic is required just to determine which of the multiple sockets actually is carrying the TV signal.

A real-life example from today, 19th February 2018 follows:

"Bernadette's from Labrador Gold Coast had been putting up with poor TV signal for about a year since moving into her home. She called TV Magic Labrador Gold Coast out to help her install her new digital antenna that she bought. Unfortunately, when we saw the TV antenna she purchased we noticed it was another "Bunnings product" and unfortunately although they look pretty they don't last long out in the elements. Thankfully Bernadette agreed to return the Bunnings aerial and have our TV install a quality digital TV antenna that will last many years to come."

Having TV reception problems? Pixelation? One channel dropping out or freezing?

Why does that happen? How is digital Tv different to analogue? Why do you only get problems on one TV point or only on one TV channel?

The following videos give you some answer to all of the above. These are very commonly asked questions. Basically, any problems you are experiencing will not fix themselves. They may come 'good again' however, this will be temporary. By Calling TV Magic we can ascertain by using our 'field strength meter' just how good or how bad your TV channels really are. When we test, we are looking to see if any channel is reaching minimum signal requirements. This will make sure there is enough 'head room' for fluctuation for bad weather, trees, a few broken elements and other factors that effect signal strength and signal quality. If these minimal requirements are not met, yes you may still have a 'perfect clear picture' however the BIG QUESTION is; for how long for? Yes your bald tyre does keep air in it and drives your car around, but obviously it's not going to take a nail or a bit of glass on the road as well as a brand new tyre.
