TV Tuning and Setup – Reid, ACT
You’d think setting up a TV would be quick — plug it in, scan for channels, done. But in reality, it often turns into a bit of a maze. Channels don’t show up where you expect, apps need configuring, updates pop up, and suddenly something that should take minutes turns into a drawn-out process.
I’m Carl from TV Magic, and I help homeowners around Reid get their TVs tuned and set up properly — not just “working,” but working the way you expect from the moment you turn it on.
A lot of setups I see are technically fine, but not user-friendly. Channels are out of order, duplicates are scattered through the guide, apps aren’t logged in, or settings haven’t been optimised. It all adds friction to something that should be simple.
When I come out, I take care of the whole setup properly. I tune all available channels, organise them so they’re easy to navigate, and make sure signal quality is where it should be. If there’s an underlying reception issue, I’ll pick it up and let you know straight away.
I also set up smart features — connecting your TV to the internet, installing and logging into apps, and making sure everything is updated and running smoothly. If you’ve got additional devices like soundbars or streaming boxes, I’ll connect and configure those too so everything works together seamlessly.
