Anchorage Apartments gets a new MATV System..

Here is a topic - a job that we don't promote or talk about much. TV Magic is regularly maintains and trouble-shoots many MATV systems for hi-rises, '6-pack' buildings, retirement villages, caravan parks and the alike. A MATV system  (Master Antenna System) is basically an antenna system for a large number of TV outlets. Daniel is seen here upgrading a MATV system for Anchorage Apartments. The existing system previously fulfilled its purpose for many years - up until the point that development and other buildings were now towering over the 6 storey Anchorage building and blocking the line-of-sight TV signals to the existing Anchorage TV antenna.  The existing antenna was no longer able to be used, nor its current position. A new (and different TV antenna) designed for a different broadcasting tower was supplied and installed and also relocated to a new position where signals could be picked up. This meant new cables runs and rerouting coax cable. On a typical residential properly this is usually a "straight forward" job. On a building like this however; MATV systems definitely require experience and advanced knowledge.
