"Connor wanted to have Foxtel in his man cave so he could watch his sports without annoying his family. The challenge for us was Connor's house was a two-storey flat-roof mansion in Tallebudgera which we couldn't run new cabling down inside the walls like normal, or even on the outside of his home for that matter. Luckily, we found an unused Telstra cable wall plate and an existing TV antenna socket in the room near his TV. This allowed us to track down and convert the Telstra cable to Foxtel and combine Free to Air antenna signal and Foxtel into the one cable for the other. Connor now has a working TV outlet and dual connection Foxtel point in his man cave and his family is very happy about it."
5 Things that can make installing a new TV socket or Foxtel point easier for an installer
- Tile roofs. Particularly a single storey home, a tile roof is awesome to work with because we can operate from on top and move tiles to get in and about as we wish (normally).
- High roof cavities. Were possible and practical we'll work from within your roof cavity even if it's a tile roof as long as the roof access is good and high. The man point being the easier for us to get to where we need to work more comfortable it is for us and the more kindly I tend to quote my Tallebudgera customers.
- Existing cabling. Sometimes it can be quicker, easier for us and cheaper for our customers if we can conveniently convert an existing Foxtel, TV or Telstra outlet to one or the other and not need to run a new cable line, this is really situational dependant but can happen more often than you think.
- Back to Back wall installs. If the single is good enough with TV and cable Foxtel (not satellite) we can install a new TV jack or Foxtel connection on the other side of your wall where an existing outlet which is tones more comfortable and favourable to getting in a hot roof.
- Metal stud frames. When you want to have a new TV or Foxtel connection installed in wall that forms part of the inside of your home, if your home has metal framework, it usually can save us a lot of time and mucking around trying to drill down through the wall studs as the metal frame usually have pre-cut holes or not even a middle stud; this saves us time which means we can give you a better dollar deal to do the work.
A real-life example from today, 12th March 2019 follows:
"Michael was sick of the kids taking over the TV in the living room so he decided to get new TV antenna outlets installed in their bedrooms, plus an extra Foxtel connection put in his. When we arrived we found Michael's home in Tallebudgera was a signal storey tile roof (my favourite), which was great because there's pretty much nothing that can stop you getting cables down walls where you want to. After the installation Michael was really pleased and left us a stellar google review online. Thanks Michael. "
