Mark from Salisbury, Adelaide called us to come and fix his tv reception and tv tuning dilemmas. It turned out his tv reception was fine - he had just been using some faulty second hand cables and well basically, was confused by all the new technology and had no idea! 

He was extremely happy to just have us do it for him. What took us just under an hour would have taken him eight! 

We tested the tv reception with a Signal reader and the signals were perfect. Mark requested that when we did the tv tuning we use his expensive surge protector board to help prevent power surges and protect his equipment. (These are not necessary and sometimes cause problems! But he had no other power board so it got used).

The error message (right) is not a good one. This message may appear if you have completely poor digital tv reception and your tv channels are dropping out - this message will appear. Or it could be that you've got all the cables around the wrong way, your antenna needs replacing - basically one of two reasons are causing this tv reception error message. 

  1. Tv Tuning not done properly
  2. Tv reception - Weak signals - Poor antenna system (may not be your aerial)
