Cost of the Franchise Business

  • The price is all-inclusive; a turn-key business to start making money from week 1 - regardless of territory. It includes pretty much EVERYTHING - except for your vehicle, your mobile phone & a pair of shoes. 
  • Buying the Mackay TV Magic territory will feel like you've just bought a 'Gold- Class Ticket' to your favourite movie (And you're the only one in the cinema) That's because you won't have to share your territory with anybody else! The Mackay TV Magic Territory is a $120k - $250k potential income business* with very exciting growth opportunities to grow beyond that. Whilst you may be the 'only one in the cinema' you'll have a nation wide team of support and help at the drop of a hat! 
  • The Mackay TV Magic franchise includes the following:
  • Your 2 weeks training certif. & regime
  • Training in all 25+ of our services 
  • On-going support and training from Head Office - for the entire duration of your contract. This endless support & on-going training also comes from your trainer and a national team culture that also wants to see you succeed.

(And that's a good thing!) Because franchises aren't 'sold'- they are 'granted' - if we pick you, it's because we have a strong belief you will be a great fit! Your obligations

  • To run the TV Magic franchise business as per our training & guidelines - designed for you to succeed!
  • Weekly Royalties (After a 2 week grace period after training ) - $345/ week. Whether you do a $2000 week or a $12,000 week - you pay the same fixed amount - a weekly royalty of $345/week! (P.S - the average job is $450 for metro. and $650 for regional) This means your $345 royalty is paid for by half a job - 1 job! 
  • A $165/week marketing fund contribution - This fund is audited and used contractually dollar for dollar by head office to make your phone ring. We aim to have clients coming out of your ears!
  • Some additional marketing on your behalf - (and at your own control) We have some operators who rely entirely on head office marketing and do well. We have other operators who are spending an additional $300/week (on top of the $165 head office fund) to get their $5k-$7k of work per week. And then we have guys who have multiple vans who spend double or triple that as they have near or over $1mil turnover businesses. Our recommendation is that you are spending around $500/ week total (including the head office $165) to get your 20-25 phone calls per week - to convert to your 15-18 jobs per week - to get your $5000/$6000 turnover per week. We have 22 years experience doing this in multiple territories across the country and we know our business model and the industry inside-out! It's a formula for success. It's designed to be simple and designed to be a "win-win-win" - A WIN for YOU, A WIN for your Customer (and for Head Office) to provide the services to help you succeed!
  • Minimum performance criteria as set out by our Franchise Agreement/s. (To do what you're trained to do etc) These are basic things such as answering the phone in a certain way, providing a min. level of customer service etc. - It's all designed for you to succeed!
  • A mandatory obligation to attend our very awesome National Conferences - this is where the whole team, across the country gets together once a year to share best practices, learn, have fun and grow your business/s. In addition to powerful lessons & learning; these conferences also emphasise a strong, very memorable social / entertaining aspect which leaves the team eager to attend next year and every year. To date, we have 94.3% attendance rate. Our conferences are mandatory to attend and invoiced (whether you attend or not) - approx $1500-$2500 P.A (not including travel / accommodation costs). We have countless testimonials from franchisees re. conferences and they all find ways to turn this yearly investment into business growth that results in an increase to their income or reduce their working hours (or both). In addition to the 1x Mandatory conference; we also host 2-3 additional (but optional) 'get-togethers' annually and these have a more social nature and include client appreciation experiences and/or adventure/action nature to these events. 
  • That's it! There are zero other fees. We do not charge a % of your turnover. We do not charge lead fees. You will receive all the leads we can give you.

#2 - ABOUT home theatre builds

Your choice to grow is 100% optional 

From experience, we have found that by the time you have completed your intense TV Magic training regime you will confidently be able to maintain and service any home theatre ie. install and replace all the A.V gear, replace a projector, install a screen, run speaker cable, install a basic 7.2.2 system, calibrate an amp, install in-wall or in-ceiling speakers (all taught in training). Building a home theatre from scratch (and managing a project) however, will come when you gain more experince. For some that's as little as 12 months, others 5 years - depending on your willingness, confidence and desire to take these jobs on. Please note we have franchisees who prefer to do their 3-4 x $500 jobs per day and do the 'easy - stuff' and the bigger jobs just get passed onto those who want them.

AN EPIC $360K HOME CINEMA BUILD..

Here at TV Magic, we can build you a home cinema from $25k to $1.5mil (Sydney Project - Celebrity). As for many of the higher-end price tag jobs; we cannot disclose/ showcase any photos as the celebrities/ famous people who we did the jobs for made us sign a confidentiality agreement. As for the other jobs; the home cinemas under $150,000; we did these for regular mums and dads /residential properties.

 

Now because we know you're probably going to ask.. we'll jump right in.. The question we get asked all the time - "How much do I actually need to build a 'decent' home cinema? The answer is - "You get what you pay for, but the sweet spot (for a THX Certified Home Cinema) is $45k -$80k.

 

From $45,000 you can get a laser projector, proper sound proofing, a proper screen (not an ebay one), some entry level professional speakers, dolby atmos system, a decent amp, a decent 'pre-amp', a team of 2-3 techs for 5-7 days (OR AS REQUIRED), professional audio calibration (with thx certification) and a turn-key solution that's going to impress you and your family for a decade to come. For the $25,000 - $45,000 range; now we're talking a pretty decent system too - you're just not going to have much change left over for aesthetics, furniture, lighting, carpet, paint and all the finishing touches. You can get a decent Dolby Atmos system but forget about having a "THX Cinema". As for anything under $25,000 we're talking about the A.V gear only and we're talking about a package that you'd acquire from your local Hi Fi store; something you could just walk in and get off the street. A job like this is installed in under a day, it may look good and sound good to you; but it's hardly going to make your local cinemas jealous.

That's not to say that if it's installed by TV Magic that it won't be impressive. It certainly will!

We'll definitely make your buck go further, provide a professional audio and screen calibration and you'll get the results from a cheaper system that a poorly installed $150k system would provide. Just contact us here for a quote for your home cinema needs.
