"Yasmin treated herself on her birthday this year to an upgrade for her home cinema equipment. She bought a new 4k HD projector, AV amplifier, 4k DVD recorder player and playstation. After arriving at Yasmins home in Pacific Pines to setup her new home theatre equipment we found her speakers to be a mismatch for her new up to date amplifier and we ended up helping select some new speakers for it as well. We installed the new surround sound speakers in the ceiling and swapped out the front left, right and centre speakers. After calibrating her new projector and tying it all together we enjoyed the awesome sound effects at the start of a new action movie with Yasmin before showing her how to use it all. Yasmin was very impressed with our service and has since had us back to wall mount a new TV and sound bar in her living room."

5 Settings you probably haven't got right on your AV amplifier for optimal sound

1. Speaker Distances. In the manual settings you should be setting the distance from your main sitting position to each speaker
2. Speaker levels. To accommodate differences between speakers and their volume level at a set input you're able to cycle through each speaker and set the speaker level so they are all performing the volume you want for the same input. Sometimes we set the rear speakers louder because generally they are a lot quieter by default.
3. Speaker Sizes. To give the best input to your speakers the amplifier wants to know whether you have small book shelf speakers or tall large speakers in each position.
4. Speaker layout. You need to tell the amplifier whether you've got things like surround sound speakers, surround back speakers, dobly atmos speakers in the roof and how many sub woofers etc.
5. Speaker positions. Are the speakers on the floor, ceiling mounted? Is there a zone 2 speaker arrangement? Your Av receiver wants to know these things too.

A real-life example from today, 24th February 2018 follows:

"Brendan from Pacific Pines Gold Coast moved in a home where the previous owners had left the ceiling speakers they had installed still in place and a bunch of speaker wires hanging out the walls in other places. Brendan wanted to use the speakers and didn't know what equipment he needed and how to get it all going in the multiple rooms. We found that he needed a duel zone amplifier to drive the speakers and obviously something to play through it like digital radio etc. or bluetooth features which is common on good AV receivers nowadays. We ended up setting up his TV's, tuning them in and installing one of them on a wall bracket with a matching sound bar on our first visit.
