We were eagerly looking forward to rating and scoring the BIG NUT AND BOLT as this is a truly unique and rare, "iconic" big thing of Australia and puts ROMA QLD on the map. Roma's other BIG THINGS - The BIG RIG does Roma no just and actually ended up on the "disappointment list". The Big Nut and Bolt however was quite impressive. For such a relatively boring and uninteresting inanimate object - we found it to be surprisingly IMPRESSIVE. Its appeal certainly may lend itself more to the male gender and did score 0/10 for kid's appeal, however it scored an impressive 76/100!

We do not include "something to do" in the scoring system as we were of the opinion that this is irrelevant. Some travellers will want something to do; to entertain themselves and the kids. Others will be travelling through / doing the "big - bucket list" thing; don't care and perhaps prefer to see sites where you don't have to stop and pay for an attraction you have zero interest in.

The Big Nut and Bolt was easily found. Parking was a breeze. The scale/size of this "BIG THING" was "SURPRISINGLY IMPRESSIVE". Along side our long wheel based- Sprinter - you can see how BIG This thing is!
