A: What's your mission in life Drilly Billy?

DB: Fixing dodgy installs. Roasting poor measurements. And maybe stirring a few people up along the way. 

A: What gets you out of bed in the morning?

DB: The smell of coffee or a van door sliding shut. And knowing that someone, somewhere a TV has been mounted too high. Not on my watch. 

A: Your biggest strength? 

DB: My ability to just 'Eye- ball' IT. Even invisible TV signals. 

A: Biggest weakness? 

DB: Sometimes I crack jokes before the plaster dust settles. Still funny though. 

A: How do you handle Setbacks?

DB:  Laugh! Redrill. Move on. Blame the wall. Move on. Walls know what they did. 

A: What motivates you? 

DB: People saying something can't be done. 

A:How do you motivate others?

DB: Crack a joke, the more crass the better. If people get offended by what I say I find it motivates them to do something! 

A: Morning person?

DB: If there's coffee - yes. 

A: What would people misunderstand about you?

DB: My team mates think I'm reckless. I just move quickly and back myself. Confidence, not chaos. 

A: What's your superpower (if you had one?) 

DB: Being able to see a crooked antenna from 10km away. 

A:  What's 2 things that most people don't know about you? 

DB: 

  1. I actually talk nicely to the wall before I drill - saying things like "It's gonna be alright love, this'll be clean" 
  2. I slide down the roof every time (instead of walking). I also have the ability to survive every fall. It might have something to do with being dropped on my head when I was little. It made my head tougher, so now climbing down the ladder is optional - I often just jump off and landing on my feet is optional. 

A: Most awkward client experience? 

DB: Everytime I'm at a job and I can easily tell the client has had a crack at the job themselves - but they deny it. It might be something like the bracket upside down or bolts in plaster only. Or a lady trying to sound like she knows what she's talking about by talking tech or handyman with me but she's just secretly afraid I'm going to rip her off - (like my prices are my prices love) .. for these clients it's just awkward knowing it's going to take me longer now (had they just not touched it in the first place) or to pretend that you don't know that they not being honest with you ... or themselves hahahah

A : What did you do before you joined TV Magic? 

DB: I was the guy that taught Macgyver. If Macgyver can fix a problem with a packet of thumbtacs and one left shoe, I can do the same with just one shoelace. I'm just a local legend, backyard fixer, the bloke your mate said to call and then TV Magic just gave me a uniform. 

A: That's awesome Billy, lastly, do you have any time for hobbies / sports? If so, what are they? 

DB: Racing anything with an engine. Love my bikes. Love stunts. I'm definitely a doer not a spectator.
