An interview with Beau by Beth O - 2023
Beth: "Hi Beau! how are you?"
Beau: "Yeah good!
Beth: "So we havn't spoken before, Beau, first question, what is your favourite TV Magic job? ie. antennas, or starlink or home theatre etc?"
Beau: "Tune and Setup"
Beth: "Oh so yeah you like the easy jobs? ha"
Beau: "Oh yeah, nah. Yeah I suppose I do. I love being able to walk in, and just fix the problem for a customer in like 3 minutues flat.. and you just know the customer has sometimes been struggling with it for hours on end. Some customers are really appreciative.. others think the service fee is excessive.. But at the end of the day, I'm only able to fix it in 3 mintues because of my expertise, otherwise it would take me 3 hours of mucking around also"
Beah: "Yes I know what I mean, and do you find most customers are appreciative? Or the other way round? "
Beau: "I'd say at least 90% are , so that's a good thing"
Beth: "That's good. Next question Beau, What did you actually do before joining TV Magic? "
Beau: "I was a butcher"
Beth: "Ah wow. Ok. And what do you do for fun, outside of work? "
Beau: "Play guitar and bass guitar in my hand"
Beth: "Fantastic. What about this one Beau, what's the biggest TIP you've received from a customer? Can you tell me it's more than $50, like half of the guys? . Haha don't feel bad if you can't "
Beau: "$200!"
Beth : "wow!"
Beau: What's the biggest Tip any of the guys have gotten?"
Beth: "Well you can read all about them soon enough, on their profiles! ... but alot of $50, I think 1 guy got $250... . some others have got expensive bottles of alcohol and free expensive TV's and speakers and what not. Lastly, what's your favourite place on Earth Beau? "
Beau: "Anywhere with my dog"
Beth: "Oo that's sweet. Oo there was one more... What is the most awkward customer experience you've ever had? "
Beau: "Once a customer was trying to set me up with their house sitter"
