Why am I Getting Duplicates of The Same Channels?
Are you getting repeats of the same channels over and over? This can be really annoing and seems unnecessary. If you're scrolling through the channels, looking for something more interesting to watch and you keep ending up with the same channel , this can be very annoying and a waste of time. So TV Magic has decided to help you decipher the age old mystery of why you are getting repeat channels and what can be done about it.
HD TV's and Duplicate Channels
These seemingly annoying channels are a result of the change to HD TV; some of these channels are appropriate to the HDTV and some are for those people who still have standar definition channels. So why are you seeing both? Your TV will tend to pick up both channels as both are available on the Free-to-Air networks so, whether a person has HDTV or not, they are able to get their appropriate channel. Unfortunately, the TV doesn't distinguish between the two, rather, it just picks up both. But what if you don't want to see both? It is really very annoying, especially when the TV guide takes awhile ot load and you can't see which channel is next, so you keep flicking through the same ones, over and over again. Well, don't worry; we get it and there are ways to remove these extra channels that you don't need.
